Fall of 2010 is almost here, and with that comes kids going back to school, hunting seasons
starting, people trying to get in the last few fishing trips to high mountain lakes before they
become snowed in, and many other things that come up the changing of the seasons. As
self employed individuals we can almost always find things we can do to get us side tracked
from what we need to be doing to keep our income coming in, and this is the time a year that
a lot of us will stop lead generating and then in 60-120 days we will not have any income,
then we will do what we usually do and get back to work trying to make some money. Many
Realtors are on that roller coaster of income for a few months and when they have a couple
closings, they loose focus on what they need to be doing to keep it coming in, and then all of
a sudden they find themselves with nothing in escrow. You have to remember, what you do
today will be your income in 60-120 days, so if you are already thinking of what you want to
do for Christmas for your grand kids, kids or loved ones, you need to be working today to
have the income you are going to need to do those things.
Remember you have other Women's Council of Realtor members to lean on if your finding
yourself unable to focus on the big picture. There is also a ton of ideas at WCR.ORG if you
are struggling for ideas. We want everyone to succeed, and if you have made it this far, you
have made it through the worst of the storm, and those that are still standing have their best
opportunity to pick up more market share so that when we come out of this cycle, and we will
because real estate is cyclical, you will have the book of business to be able to make as
much as you want.
As I learned recently in a class I took "You can have results, or you can have reasons, you
can't have both". Think about that for a minute, if you always have a reason you can't do
something, then you will get no results. So lets get results with each other and lend a hand
to those that need it to just finish getting through this part of the season, so we will all be
able to do what we want the rest of our lives, and we do this at Women's Council by
supporting those that support us, so when ever possible, use another WCR member for your
real estate needs.
