Diane Nelson called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m.
Pledge of Allegiance and Inspiration: Julie Sundquist with Coldwell Banker.
Diane Nelson presented “beating hearts” (stained glass hearts are presented to all new and renewing Chapter members) to
JoAnn Lowe, Susan Nest, and Kathryn Lion-Pierson.a
Carol Andrews sang Happy Birthday to Tom Turner.
9:45 a.m. JoAnn Lowe presented Business Woman of the Year Award. The recipient has taken a position at State Level for
WCR, she has had an ongoing business plan, she has been extremely involved, her best advice is “to get a plan and work
that plan.” She was the past president for Canyon County Chapter in 2006. Janeen Sanchez received Business Woman of
the Year for 2008.
9:50 a.m. Diane Nelson provided a report on Midyear. Diane presented Mary Sorensen with the Gold Award and the
Chapter Excellence Award for 2008. Also Canyon County received Small Chapter of the Year award and banner. All five
chapters in Idaho won the Gold Award.
10:00 a.m. Tom Turner introduced guest speaker Rich Nesbit with Reality Executives.
10:03 a.m. Rich Nesbit spoke on Realtor Coaching. He spoke on how to make your business grow and steps you need to take
to have a successful business. He is a Realtor Coach in his office and he says you need to go to the office every day. Be at
the office every morning by 8 a.m. You have to prospect every single day. You must have a business plan and set your
goals. After you have your goals put them in writing and then tell people what your goals are. You family and friends will
make it so you have to be accountable for the goals you set. Also on a monthly basis he sits down with another mega agent
in the office and they talk about the deals that didn’t make it to closing. They analyze them and find out what they could
have done differently to get those deals to the closing tables. He also challenged the Chapter to bring 4 guest for the year
to WCR meetings so we can grow our Chapter.
10:28 a.m. Announcements:
WCR Yard Sale/Car Wash - Eric Schmidt from Stewart Title,
We will start taking donations for the Yard Sale and we have it tentatively planned for August 6th.
We do not have a July Meeting.

Clyde & Patti Hughes, Michael Eshom, Rick Johnston, Brenda Colson.
Tom Turner talked about Leadership Academy. Told us of the intense training they receive over two days. Told us the
importance of not only getting new members to join WCR but also keeping the ones we have.
9:59 a.m. Mary Sorensen, if you are interested in being on the board next year contact Mary. Mary also spoke about the
State Convention September 16 – 19.
10:06 a.m. Tom Turner introduced Andy Enrico. Andy is a Broker as well as serving as an Idaho Real Estate Commissioner.
10:07 – 10:31 a.m. Andy teaches a forms class. Every year as of July 1st our Real Estate forms are updated and changes
are made. Andy went over the important changes to the forms that Realtors need to be aware of. He also made something
clear as in “days” if you don’t specify business days then it is automatically counted as calendar days which is Monday-
Sunday midnight-midnight including holidays. Andy reiterated that as Realtors we need to be sure we are filling out those
forms correctly and if we are unsure speak to our Brokers or take his class.
10:31 a.m. Announcements:
Yard Sale – Will be tomorrow 8/08/09 at Title One Building on Franklin. Come and support WCR.
Capital City Fundraiser- They are going to have a 50’s cocktail party at the Train Depot. Tickets are $30/each.
Sponsor: Title One- Lisa Bain gave away a one year subscription to Success Magazine and the winner was Susan Norland
with Wells Fargo.
